At a distance of 35 Kms from Mysore, Gunja Narasimha Swamy Temple in T.Narasipura is a 450 years old temple built in Dravidian style. The name of the town Narasipura comes from this temple. The temple is a large structure with a high gopura with four pillared mantapa. Lord Narasimha holds a berry stalk of Gunja plant between his thumb and forefinger.
